For the most current and comprehensive employment policies, please refer to the Employee Handbook. Information in the Employee Handbook supersedes any policy information included here.

Safety First!

The nature of our work presents potential hazards to our employees and customers. In every part of your job, make sure that your first focus is on safety – that includes your own health and safety and the health and safety of those around you. If you ever have any question about the safety of your work or are worried about your own safety, talk to your direct supervisor.

You should not proceed with any task until you have addressed all safety concerns.

Safety Training

Ongoing safety training is mandatory for all store employees. Each week, a different topic will be presented so that you are able to recognize potential hazards on the job, remove or avoid those hazards, and maintain a safe work environment.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Using personal protective equipment (PPE) is an important way you can stay safe on the job. There are many types of PPE that may be appropriate, depending on the task you are performing. These include:

– Eye Protection, such as safety goggles
– Face Protection, such as face shields
– Gloves for hand protection
– Hearing Protection, including ear plugs and other hearing protection devices

Ask your supervisor about how to obtain PPE if it is required for your job.
